Sporting a looted top hat festooned with stolen medals and buttons, Som'er Teeth Jones leads his Gremlin kin from a position of great honor - the rear. In his mind he is far too valuable to risk his own hide pushing back against Earthside settlers encroaching on the Bayou's borders. To Som'er the Bayou is Gremlin territory, not land to be claimed by the humans. The Guild's militant response to the Gremlins protecting their own has only reinforced his opinion they are dangerous and need to be pushed as far away from the Bayou as possible. Despite the Guild's belief Gremlins are little more than vermin to be exterminated, Som'er's keen (well, keener than an average Gremlin) mind has brought the various kins in a semblance of an organized front.
Of course, Som'er is quite willing to "borrow" and adapt the humans' amazing inventions for his own ends. Consummate mimics, Som'er's Gremlins have begun churning out inferior copies of Earthside devices, especially the noisy "boomsticks". Many an unfortunate pioneer has found himself staring down the business end of one of these unreliable weapons, praying for a misfire as the trigger is pulled.
You may enjoy playing Som'er if you enjoy a leader that is better in the supporting role than fighting from the front. Som'er's Totems provide him with an ability to attack at long range, and the swarms of Gremlins a player can hire into a Crew will often overwhelm an opposing Crew by sheer numbers. Som'er and the Gremlins in general can also be a bit unreliable. If a bit of random fun is something you enjoy in a Crew, Som'er may be the right fi
The best place to start collecting a Som'er Crew is with The Gremlins Box Set which should give you enough models to play a small game. If you want to expand on this Som'er can hire any Gremlin, Vermin or Pig models. Below are a few suggestions, but what you choose is up to you.
Som'er goes into battle with a swarm of Mosquito's buzzing around him. These are his totems and may cast his spells.
The Hog Whisperers are charged with tending the pigs, they can tend to the pigs bandaging their wounds, stopping them stampeding out of control or even going as far as to make them fly.
Gremlin's really like bacon, so they normally keep a lot of piggies around. In battle they can be hurded at the enemy.
The Gremlin Taxidermist can grab nearby pigs or corpses and turn them into living (or unliving) bombs. If you plan on using one you will also need a pack of Stuffed Piglets for it to create.
Slop Haulers drag buckets of food with them to feed the piggies. They can help your models heal as even the gremlins are not above taking a quick snack from their slop buckets.
