The Resurrectionists

Molly Squidpiddge

Molly Squidpiddge was once a successful reporter for the Malifaux Record. When Seamus took an unhealthy interest in her and her affininty for the strange gem known as the Gorgon's Tear her life took a decidedly macabre turn for the worse. Seamus murdered then resurrected Molly, intent on using he link with the Gorgon's Tear in an effort to bring forth the Grave Spirit and steal its power for himself. Although events conspired against Seamus he held onto Molly and the Gorgon's Tear. He knew both would be of use to him again.

Since that time Molly's use has been little more than a glorified porter. She carries the raving head of Philip Tombers, forming a bond borne out of their mutual hatred of Seamus. Molly is linked to Seamus through means she does not completely understand and is unable to escape his reach. Instead she welcomes each small freedom he grants her, exercising her growing control over undead oddities like herself. She wonders if the Gorgon's Tear she wears has something to do with her abilities and carries a shard of hope that someday she can break free of Seamus' hold and find peace at last.

Overview

Molly's tragic history in Malifaux comes to life in her stats. She can use the Gorgon's Tear to become Terrifying, leaks necrotic fluids whenever she suffers Wounds, and can even reveal Philip's head to scare away the living. Crews containing her can hire and boost Horrors, and she is able to summon not only Belle models but additional Horrors to fight alongside her during an Encounter. She can deflect injuries as long as her player has Fate Cards in his or her Hand, and when she has served her purpose she can be killed to eliminate an enemy model from play.

Starting Molly

The best place to start collecting a Molly Crew will be with her box set which will give you enough models to play a small game. If you want to expand on this Molly can hire Horrors or Belles. Below are a few suggestions, but what you choose is up to you.

  • Necrotic Machine

Molly can put together her totem the Necrotic Machine from corpses she has lying about. It's a nasty little machine that can poison it's victims with large rusty syringes

  • Madam Sybelle

Madam Sybelle is a belle so Molly can piece her together from bits and pieces she has around. Sybelle is hard person to put down, and can command other belles to help her out.

  • Rotten Belles

Molly has a great affinity to belles, able to build them from corpse parts and able to make those around her faster. Belles are tough and able to lure the enemy towards them.

Coroner's Office Heading Body Theft Investigation

The Guild Coroner's Office continues its investigation of the theft of bodies intended for autopsy. "It is frustrating. We are here to serve the City. The victims - not only of the crimes which sent them to my care, but also of this second and even more heinous crime - demand justice. I am confident we will find the parties responsible soon," said Dr. McMourning.
