The Dreamer & Lord Chompy Bits

While the Dreamer sleeps his playmate, Lord Chompy Bits, and he visit Malifaux in what the Dreamer believes to be his dreams. Little does he realize that the games of "Monsters" they play are very real to Lord Chompy Bits' victims. The Dreamer feels no guilt for the terror and death his actions have caused, believing them to be simply the stuff of dreams. Lord Chompy Bits, on the other hand, is very much aware of what the pair are doing, hoping their 'playtime' will help him navigate the labyrinthine passages of the boy's psyche and find what he needs to escape his prison between spaces where he as Nytmare has languished for centuries.

Nytmare's ultimate goal is to attain true immortality, not the trappings of eternal life which have sustained him in the between space. His earliest efforts to take what he wanted from the boy met with failure. No matter how horrible the visions were Nytmare created for the Dreamer the boy took them in stride. The Dreamer's imagination overwhelmed them, reclaiming his dreams for himself. Nytmare believes that these half-realities he and the Dreamer inhabit in Malifaux will give him all that he needs to finally wrest the boy's mind away and use its contents to break out of the in between forever.

Overview

The Dreamer and Lord Chompy Bits are a unique Master. While the Dreamer is a single Master made up of two neither model may be in play at the same time. Each possesses its own set of unique abilities, requiring players to plan their path to victory carefully. At the Dreamer's disposal are several abilities which allow him to command and control Nightmare models. Lord Chompy Bits, on the other hand, loses these abilities in exchange for raw combat skill and power. Between the pair they use the Dreamer's Nightmare control to dominate much of the battlefield which allows Lord Chompy Bits to enter play close to targets he can easily eliminate through melee attacks.
